Holiday Clubs
We run a holiday club for children aged 4- 12 years each school holiday for most of the year including most school INSET days.
We currently take children aged 4 years old who are at school .
Opening times are 7.30am till 6.00pm Monday till Friday
Up to any 5 hours in 1 day £21.00
Over 5 hours in any 1 day £30.00
Each term as the holiday approaches we email all our registered parents (it costs nothing to register) a booking form for the holiday period. We also place a copy on here (see below for the latest holiday flyer) and links via our Facebook Page. Children of several schools in the Purbeck Area may also find they receive a copy via their school office.
You are required to complete and return the booking form by hand, post or email . In holidays once you book you are charged should you later cancel for any reasons.
Each holiday has a different theme and activities, games and fun both inside and outside . Keeping with our term time ethos we choose what we may do each day on the day or close too depending on the children due to attend, their interests and for the children themselves to be able to take part in planning their activities and play ideas.
HAF - Holidays and Food - we have limited spaces for children in receipt of benefit related free school meals including a hot lunch as provided from external caterers for selected days up to 5 hours . Please let us know if you would like to find out more.
You will need to register with Dorset Council by following the link here https://www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/children-families/holiday-activities-and-food-programme
You need to gain your passcode to show you are eligible and then register with us at Prime Time. We will then work with you on available days and times if we have available space . Terms and conditions apply.
Summer Holiday Club - Deadline to book including returning all registration forms - Friday 14th July 2023. Children due to start school in September 2023 may attend.

How do I book my child in?
Please complete a booking form (you can download one here) and return to us on email (primetimekidsclub@tiscali.co.uk) or by post/hand . Once we receive it we will see if you are registered with us or not. If you are not or have not used us for over 1 year we will contact you to send you some registration forms to complete before we can accept the booking. Once this has been successfully done or if you are already registered with us please await our email confirmation that you have a place at holiday club
I'm not sure what sessions I need, can I book and cancel later on if I no longer need them?
In holidays once you book you are charged should you later cancel for any reasons.
My child has additional needs, can they attend holiday club?
Prime Time is an inclusive club and has a SEN policy and we acknowledge that each child should be considered as the individual they are.
We ask you to disclose all details on the registration forms where there is a section on your child's needs. We will fully talk to you as parents/carers and any other professionals who know your child well such as teachers, early help support workers and health/social care professionals so we can all together make the correct decision for your child . Each child is looked at as an individual and we assess what reasonable adjustments can be made to support your child to attend holiday club. We never wish for any child to be set up to fail by a lack of proper thought and consideration by the adults supporting them, therefore we will always need lots of notice so there is time to consult with others and reach a decision on a child's ability to attend, taking into account their needs, the set up of holiday club, additional support that may be needed and any possible funding for this alongside Prime Time's ability to provide additional resources or staffing.
How do I pay?
If you use us term time before and after school, you will have your holiday club sessions added to your normal monthly invoices.
If you are a user of just holiday club you will receive an invoice to be paid in advance of the sessions by the date on the invoice along with your confirmation email of a place and any additional information you need to know .
We ask wherever possible you pay by BACS or use childcare vouchers/ tax-free saving accounts . However if this is not possible you may pay by cash at the setting in advance. Find out more on our Fees pages and policy pages.
Do I have to drop off and pick up at set session times ?
No, we do not have set session times as this is not always helpful to working parents. On the booking form you can write the time you wish to drop off and collect instead. If this needs to change just let us know.
What will my child need to bring with them?
We will send a confirmation email and then another email with all you need to know before the start of the holiday . Normally however you will be asked to bring a named water bottle for use throughout the day, children can refill as needed from the tap in the main room. A packed lunch , a waterproof coat, a sunhat and sun cream ( children should have sun cream applied before they attend), sensible shoes like trainers (please no sandals, flip flops or crocs). Please no toys from home that you and the children don't mind not coming back!! and please no mobile phones or electronic devises to be brought to Prime Time. This is so we can safeguard all children from the risks of the online world and photography whilst in our care.
Is there any help towards paying for all day childcare ?
Yes, we advice all parents to look at childcarechoices.gov.uk and use the online calculator to see what help may be available towards childcare. As an Ofsted registered setting you may be able to apply for childcare vouchers and tax free savings accounts , working families tax credits and universal credits for childcare help. See our Fees page for more information.
Does my child get any food with you?
Yes, we provide breakfast before 8.30am of cereals, toast and spreads and an afternoon snack at around 3.30pm . You will need to provide a packed lunch for lunch which is at 12.00pm. We are looking to see if parents may like a hot lunch as provided by external caterers and this may be able to be arranged at a cost of £5.50 per child per day (however each holiday you will need to check as this is a new scheme to us ). Many parents also provide a morning snack for their children to have at around 10.00am or we can provide some toast and spreads.
What are the arrangements for dropping off and collecting my child. Can I come with them and stay for a while?
Covid has meant we have stopped allowing parents inside the Prime Time building and this has actually proved to be a much better way for many of our children and parents alike. It is much easier for the children and it also kinder on those children in session to not have lots of other parents coming and going all day. Therefore we ask you ring the bell and leave your children with us at the front door. Likewise when you collect please ring the bell and we will bring your child to you. If your child is struggling to settle please do not worry we will work with you to decide on the best way to settle your child in and make adaptions as needed.
