FAQs
How does my child get to school?

We are on school site so when the gates open for the start of school , children at Prime Time will also leave to walk to their classrooms via our back entrance which goes straight onto the playground. All exits are secure. If your child is in Key Stage 2 (Years 3,4,5 and 6) their classrooms are  in visual sight to our building. If your children are in Key Stage 1 (Years R, 1 and 2) a member of our staff will walk with them to their classrooms.

Does my child have to have breakfast?
No, if they need breakfast please let us know when you drop off. All children will be asked if they would like breakfast but we do not insist children eat if they have already done so at home.

Can I drop off my child at any time or does it need to be on the hour?
You can drop off whenever suits you. 7.30am, 7.40am, 8.20am the choice is all yours!!

Do you do set things at set times - is there a timetable ?
No, we are led by the children. Everyday is different as their interests and games change

Can my child catch up on some homework whilst with you in the mornings?
Yes, not a problem

I have a message for my child's teacher can you pass that on?
Yes, you can message your child's teacher or the school office on the emails they provide , call the school office once they open or you can tell us and we will inform the teacher when they go into school

My child is going to be absent today, what should I do?
You need to call us , email or send us a message via text, what's app or classroom sharing apps  if you are going to miss a session . You will also need to contact the school office if your child will also be absent from school

Will I be charged if my child does not attend breakfast club ?
That depends on the time you cancel.  We need 1 weeks notice by the Friday before the week ahead to receive no charges. So any cancels within the week due to attend will be charged but if you inform us on the Friday before for the week ahead you will not.

How do I pay?
You will receive a monthly invoice (by email) at the start of each month to be paid by the 10th of each month for that months previous usage. We ask you pay by BACS where possible  or use childcare vouchers / tax - free childcare accounts if they are available to you. If not cash or cheque at the setting is fine.  Find out more on our Fees and Policies page .

The Benefits of Breakfast Clubs
-  There is lots of evidence to show breakfast clubs help children  to have a calmer start to their day , enabling them to practice social skills and eat with other children which improves confidence
- A provision where children can eat a proper breakfast before school helps ensure children are ready to learn, can concentrate more  and have all the morning nutrients they need to be healthy
- The benefits for children to be able to play outside before the school day gives them time to let off energy,  embrace fresh air and physically improve health
- Breakfast clubs support parents enabling them to work and arrive to work on time
- It enables parents to approach the start of the school day in a calmer way too.. no breakfast preparation rush, no trying to find a parking space at the busier drop off times and no waiting at school gates  !
